Was trying to track down the exact location for Papa Palheta which I missed badly for its cappuccino where I got from forums that it had closed down. Was feeling so disappointed until from articles/forums that it had moved to Tyrwhitt Rd and of course, bringing along the technique of roasting and purveying specialty coffee.
After knowing where it is, I was, and yes, for the first time felt lucky that my company has moved to Bendemeer Rd! The cafe was just two bus stop away from my work building!!! After 1/2 physco-ing and 1/2 luring my colleagues, we are finally here today!!!!
From its exterior , I can imagine inside stood an old man wearing white "char kueh teow" singlet, puffing away his cigarette while waiting for his customers... but well.. if you were such a dreamer like me, then you are so so wrong !!!!
Looking at the lunch crowd here! Not to mention the mixture of vintage and modern decorations. I especially like the old lamps hanging up at the corner of the cafe which have a strong contrast with the two rows of spotlights across the entire place. Even the menu looks very vintage too! (Ehhh.. the stain on the menu is not a deliberately done pattern!!). Unlike its previous, they tried to include some mains and desserts into the cafe, hope they taste as good as their coffee~
The four of us got the different main dishes and a glutton like me, ordered an additional dessert set prepared by the in-house baker!@.@...
I had the parma sandwich as my main and cream burlee with Espresso for my after food dessert!.. Only TWO WORDS can describe them :Yummy yummy!!! The dishes have certainly live up to my expectations as well as my espresso ! However, a small, minor imperfection was the chips on my main dish. Too salty for my liking! The rest of my colleagues are singing praises to their food and the roasting smell from the coffee got into us so much that we have decided that we will definitely going back again!!!
I'm loving it~ ! <3<3
