It was just another beautiful brand new day when Boo called me, telling me to get prepared to go Gardens by the Bay with his YEC friends in the evening. Another photography event perhaps to take the flowers and the tulips which was the new theme at the Dome Gardens for about 2-3 months already.  Even my mum told me our zone's Community Centre selling cheap tickets to Gardens by the Bay.

Without suspecting anything, I went off to meet my love with the goal to take many nice photos to post on the blog.. =)) hahaha.. Well, unable to contain his excitement or rather.. unable to keep his little secret, he showed me a pair of tickets in his hand.

Yeah.. a pair of the social concert's tickets!!!! Honestly speaking, it was my first outdoor concert with Booboo after many donkey years ago I went with my polymates! The two of us with another YEC couple managed to find a nice spot to stand, just in from of the T-shaped stage. While waiting for the concert to start, Boo decided to wander away to find his favorite, the Hot dog!! Yes, he loves them alot, maybe more than me! ahahaha..

ok, I must admit that the hot dog bun was really tasty and the hotdog is extremely juicy, coupled with the shreds of lettuces and slices of onions--> alot of onions!!! P.S Boo's breath was a bit heavy because of the onions he ate. =)))
After waiting for 2hours, the party began to light up the dark night~!!!

The first to perform was the all girls' group of different nationalities in Asia, Blush!I  heard they are pretty famous in US, not too sure about it though.. but well, this group of girls started to heat up the crowd with fast beating pop songs!

After a long wait~~~ here came our sweetie pie Carly Rae Jespen!  She sung the most songs than the artistes who performed the night! Her sweet smiles and warm gestures, like shaking hands with the audiences and even help to sign her autographs when two young boys waved her 2nd album "Kiss"! ahahaha. Of course, not to mention her totally sweet voice!

She totally spiced up the crowd to the next level!! Especially to her fans!

Next came our Gang Nam Style Uncle, PSY! He performed his new song, Mother Father Gentleman and all the people began to dance and sang along at the top of their voices!!! The atmosphere was the highest at this point. And the height came when he finally sang his international famous song, Oppa GangNam Style!  However, I must say one of the song he sang, a slow song called "Its Art" has very meaningful lyrics and I must recommend to all ~
Its Art MTV

Last but not least, the glamour singer, Ceelo Green, whose songs are very different, towards Raps and R&B. That maybe the reason why most of the crowd left when it was his appearance. But, I have to say he has that nice voice and  sense of humor which made me wanted to stay a little longer for him...And he sang that Pussy cats's song, Don't you wish your Boyfriend was rich like me~~ ahaha...  made me laugh the most.

Enjoyed concert although we stood there for almost 4 hrs! Thanks Boo for the surprise.

After the visit to The Orange Thimble, I just couldn't forget about its Portobella Mushroom Burger. So I went to search some recipes online and came up with the inspired dish. Hahahaha.

Ehh... I know what you are thinking right now,  where is the portobello mushroom?? Very hidden in between   the burger buns! Muahahahaha!!!!

Can't wait to get started to share what I have whipped up!

Ingredients (4 servings)

1 loaf of Gardenia Wholemeal Hamburger Buns
A pack of 5 portobello mushroom
3 clovers of garlic
1/2 Lemon
1 Avocado
2 washed potatoes
1 Egg
350ml of balsamic vinegar
Pepper and Salt

Let's get started!! ~~~

Wash the mushrooms and gently pad dry on the caps of the mushrooms using a paper towel. Remove the stems of the mushroom gently and place the 4 portobello mushrooms into a wide and shallow plate.

Now, chop chop the garlic into small pieces and add them into the vinegar with some salt and pepper to taste. Well, you may also add in 1 tablespoon of olive oil for fragrance.

Pour the mixture into the plate with the mushrooms and marinate each side ( both caps and bottom of the mushrooms) for 15 mins. While waiting for gravy to be slowly absorbed by the mushrooms, we can start preparing the avocado sauce. v(^.^)v

By cutting the avocado into pieces ,it made the blending process easier.  After seeing that the avocado had been gritted into tiny pieces, stop the blender. Add some lemon juice into the bits and mix with pepper and a pinch of salt. If you can take spicy, I would recommend to add some Japanese spicy powder into the mixture. =))

Time's up for marination and  start  "grilling" your mushroom over the stove. Add a bit of oil beforehand to avoid burning the mushroom. Flip your mushroom such that both sides are well-cooked. A tip for you, do add some excess gravy onto the mushroom while cooking.

I have heated the buns after cutting it in half. This will give a slight crisp to the buns which will add taste to the burger. Place the "grilled" mushroom onto the 1 bottom layer of the bun.

Layer over the mushroom with slices of the hard boil egg which I have prepared and top it of with the avocado sauce. Almost done! You may also add your favorite salad sauce ( I guess a bit of the salad sauce will not spoil the healthy food) Hahahahaha.

And... that's the end result of my dish!!!!

I have been a bit busy with my work these two weeks that I slightly neglected my blog. Well, here I am today to introduce the pastel green owl nails inspired by the owl wallpaper which I have seen during the housewarming party at my very good friend's place.  Aren't owls look cute? So innocent with those pair of big round eyes!

Things you need

1 thin nail art brush
1 Dotting tool/ toothpick
Apple Green Color; [GR602] , NatureRepublic
An Affair in Red Square; [NL09], OPI
Brown Color; [35], LookEver

    How to Create an Owl

Step 1: Apply Base Coat to all the ten fingernails.
Step 2: On the index finger, use GR602  to draw an oval shape, about 3/4 of the nail.
Step 3:  Using the toothpick/nail art brush, dot/draw little triangles at the top of the oval shape. [You have
make out the little ears of the owl!!!!]
Step 4:  Use 35 color  to draw the "wings" on the oval shape at the tip of both sides.
Step 5: With the toothpick/nail art brush, use 35 to dot circles as the round round eyes of the owl, and a
small inverted triangle as the beak in between the eyes.
Step 6: With the toothpick/nail art brush again, dot small circles of the white color  into the brown eyes
and little dots below the beak, as feathers~

Do the owl nail art for the ring fingernails too. (^.^)V

For the rest of the fingernails

Step 7:  Paint [GR 602] on the thumb, middle and pinky fingernails.
Step 8: With the dotting tool ( the bigger round part) , use 35 and create polka dots. Nice!

Paint over the top coat and add a beautiful shine to all!!!!!

I hope you will like my nail art! See you next time!

Boo had been giving me a lot of surprises, and this time is just as special as the other  he had done for me.  As he knew I was pretty stressed up by the workload recently and Japanese food is one of my favorite cruise, I was brought to this Japanese restaurant at the Millennium Walk.

As we do not have any reservation, we need to be located at the outdoor. For which, I think it was a blessing in disguise.. Hahaha, I got to breath some fresh air, enjoying the light breeze with Boo.  OO.. and I saw a strange phenomeon, which was the servers here had to knee down on his/her one knee beside our tables to note down our orders.  The tables aren't that low, you know?!

Guess it was one of their customer services to us. Well, then I have to say I was impressed it. Boo recommended some of the food on the Menu and both of us decided to share the two sets plus a side dish.

The fried burdock was the first to serve and gosh, it was really crispy but it was tasteless if served without the salt and a little squeeze of lime. Frankly speaking, I don't know what is burdock so well I google and this was what I have got.

The dry root of the burdock and it is said to prevent high cholesterol problems, clears the toxins out from the body, and more other benefits like curing sore throats and colds. Nice ah?!

Both of the main sets came abit later and I forced Boo to take the orh lulu eel set while I took the salmon set.  I have to compliment the rice as it was really fragrant and each grain of rice was well cooked; non sticky. The marinated sliced mushroom and the vegetable tasted heavenly with the rice and the slices of fresh salmon. Yummy!  The chawanmushi and other sides were so-so only, which I prefer not to comment about them...

As for the eel set, the eel had too much of the sauce which caused it to be too sweet. What a waste to the fine piece of eel. However, the mixed grain rice was also heavenly fragrant !!

It was overall a fruitful and enjoyable evening! Good food!!! <3
After a day's of gown fitting at our bridal studio, Boo and I were deciding where to eat at Tanjong Pagar. As the usual famous Ramen Restaurant we both love had a super duper long Q , forced us to give up waiting as our stomachs were growling furiously. (o.o'')

As I was feeling unwell, Boo was made to find somewhere else which serves something light and soupy. It wasn't long before we passed by the Pho Stop which specializes in Vietnamese cruise. Once stepped into the shop, I was attracted by its simple yet reflecting the country's culture and lifestyle's decorations.

** Photo from citynomads**  ( I missed out shooting the summer rolls, so well, I "borrowed"the pic from somewhere)

For our appetizer, we had the popular summer rolls, consisting of a bit of bean spouts, sticks of carrots and cucumbers rolled in lettuce leaf and rice paper. What made it stood out to any other rice paper roll was the sweet and a little sourish peanut sauce that came with the dish. Do dip one of the roll into the sauce and put it into your mouth and you will realize that the taste was not overwhelming as in the you were able to taste the crunchiness of the fresh veggies, coated with a bit of sweet and sourish taste, making you wanting more food! That's what an appetizer supposedly does right?

I ordered a rice noodle soup with chicken shreds as my main dish. The chicken broth soup was very well flavored, and the rice noodle were well cooked , no gluey and lumpy noodles! Great! Not to mention that Pho Stop doesn't scrimp on the chicken shreds and the bowl costed only about $7.50 - $8.00!

Boo gotten himself the grilled chicken with dry laksa noodles. The grilled chicken tasted like satay chicken without being so oily yet delicious. The  burnt parts added favor to the tender meat, loving it so much! Well, I think it should be alright to have some "unhealthy" food once awhile!

My overall feeling to the restaurant was great and I would certainly come back again for some chilling moments! However, I must add that for non beef eaters like me, the menu was really limited. Hopefully they will create more chicken or maybe even fish related dishes.
