Counting down to my Big Day, I was thinking to share my top 5 most favorite pre-wedding pictures!

Sit back and enjoy!!

I especially love this shot where we were captured in an O which represents "reunited as one" in Chinese as we were surrounded with the word, LOVE.

We were initially asked to sit on the swing until Boo suddenly sat onto a child's BMX and started requesting our photographer to take a shot with it! The Pink and Blue color scheme in this picture which are also my favorite "peaceful" color.

Picture was taken at Intercontinental Hotel with the photographer standby at the opposite staircase lobby. I personally love the interaction Boo and I had as we looked into each others' eyes.

My main grown which i think it is so unique and it seems to suit me so perfectly.I love the natural sunlight shone on the both of us as we stood there looking at each other as if time stopped eternally.

I like the background of this picture, it was as if Boo and I took the picture in the night life of Japan.

I have to thank so many people especially

1) Lewis, the nice and patient photographer
2) Jeff, the talented and super sweet gown designer
3) Sasa, the pretty and meticulous MUA

La Vie Bridal is the place where you feel at ease, no stress and feel the warmth of nice people.

Hello Everyone, it has been a really long while since I last updated my Blog. Well.. well. I am really busy with my wedding preparation and yes, I will be getting married in 2 weeks' time!

In a mist of the hectic wedding preparation, I chanced upon the Facebook page of Jemolian's store which advertised the annual Rilakkuma cafe event held on behalf of Bon Japan in Singapore!!! How am I not getting excited when little did you know that Boo and I decide to name our future girl as Rila and boy boy as Kuma!!! Hahahaha..

To be honest, I cannot imagine why a cutie affair was held in the middle of a light industry area. Anyway, I still hung on the hope that the interior maybe very different from it's surroundings?!

We were greeted by the cute head shots of Rilakkuma bears on the cement flooring , approximately every 5 steps at level 2 before approaching into the event hall.

Once entered into the event hall, I was captured by the PS2 Rilakkuma game! The graphics were just too cute to resist taking pictures!! So I made Boo to play a few rounds in order to take a couple more pictures!

As I have overlooked the chance to get the limited set meal ( need to reserve few days before), Boo and I gotten ourselves a dessert set meal plus a fish stick wrapped with seaweed. The presentation did look good but the Lipton milk tea was way too diluted! =((  The set plus the fish stick costed us $14.40, which was considered quite expensive but I guess we shouldn't be complaining as it was not as if we could get them as and when, it was an annual event, mind you!

After the tea break, it was time for some camera whoring!! Posing here and there with the giant Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma at the event hall.

Especially Boo Jemolian's Store who certainly wanted to pose with his friend, Little Quacky aka Kiiroitori.

Although we did not buy any merchant goods in the event, we had a good time as usual by entertaining ourselves, making the best out of what we have... *...*

I have always had a thing for Halloween after exposed to facebook's game, the then pet society. Every time as it approaches the Halloween month, we , as the virtual pet owner will rack our brains to obtain gold coins in order to purchase the limited Halloween items. And yes, I enjoyed the game and all the items fantasized me over the years until the game was gone for good last year. =(((

I began to look for ways in participating Halloween event, to immerse myself in the Horror and spooky feeling ..

Me in purple Bat hair band!!!

And there as seen, I invited Boo to go for the Universal Studios Horror Night. We were waiting patiently for the show to get started!

As darkness gradually took over the sky, the three evil sisters popped out of nowhere in the cage. Their appearances officially announcing that they were ready to welcome us to their spooky territories.

Boo and I quickened our steps and went to the house some haunted property. Both of us queued up for about an hour before getting into the premise. We saw a lot of "swamp things" trying to scare us as we approached different rooms. I was pretty cool about the " ghosts" when a man who was camouflaged on the newspapers back wall, suddenly jumped and scared the hell out of us!

The rest of the haunted houses had very high volume of crowds which made us decided we shall roam around the haunted streets to "interact" with vampires! We went into a small town with all the non-humans walking around, scaring the nerves out of you when you least enticed.

I almost became a headless woman!!!!

As we braved through the street full of vampires, we went for the transformer ride. Do you know why? Answer is simple, it had the shortest Q as compared to other stations. Ahahahaha... The set up and ride were great, although the ride was not as excited than "The Mummy"

The closer images of the 3 evil sisters as they came out to pose for visitors like us. Wah.. I like the make up and expressions of each of them. That put an end to our incredible night at the USS!!

Most of the women when having or when it is approaching close to your PMS period, you and I (Yes, me too) will have cravings for certain foods, especially Chocolates!  But wait on ladies, before you feed yourself on that 5th or 6th candy bars to ease PMS syndromes, please opt for the top 4 foods PMS busters which may help to balance your low progesterone and high estrogen levels, in a more healthier manner.

For me, I have experimented two out of the four foods on myself, and I found that spinach did help on the less bloated part during " those days". Whole grain bread did give me the strength to fight fatigue but I believe that is because it provides the carbos which allowed me to have the energy to work on where other carbos foods may provide me too. Of course, it is of healthier selection as compared to fried rice. Hahaha..
So girls out there, do try the foods to see whether the effects work on you too. These foods are served as general guide only as you know, everyone's bodies react differently!

Every morning, especially during weekdays, my breakfast will be a piece of wholemeal bread, glutinous grains' cereal. Are you like me feeling sick having the same routine breakfast almost everyday?  Let's get down to the kitchen and cook some porridge which is healthier than most outside foods.

Ingredients

1 Century Egg
1 Salted Egg
Long Grain Rice
2 cups of water

Actually not many people like the taste of the century egg as compared to the salted duck egg. Some may even wonder what is a century egg and salted egg?  A century egg is also known as preserved (Can be Duck, Chicken) egg and like its name, it is cured with a coat of clay which made up of salt, wood ash and mud. The taste of the egg is sure very unique where not much people can stand it nowadays. But... I love it!!!

As for the salted duck egg, the egg is coated with a thick layer of salted charcoal to preserve the egg, giving it its saltiness.

Clean the rice and boil them into the water till the rice grains are white and soft. In the meanwhile, remove the coats of the eggs and boil them for 15 mins.

You may chop the eggs in wedges or dices if you like it smaller pieces. Well, I preferred mine in wedges. Hehehe... Last but not least, I would sprinkle some pork floss and some dry seaweed bits to my porridge.

Oooh... yeah~

Ever Since I posted the first entry on the recipe's section, I have been slightly obsessed in trying all sorts of cruises. Well, maybe the simpler ones from the internet and slowly improvised to healthier choice.

Nowadays, I tried to whip up dishes such that they can be served as a meal, like lunch or dinner. Still wondering what can I do to present the best to this blog? hahahah...

How do you find it?

Well,, with all the ingredients that were found in the fridge, I have decided to cook the Korean egg roll with spicy tofu meal and a corn soup to fill my stomach for dinner.

So, Let's get started

Ingredients : Sweet Corn Soup

A packet of Silk Tofu, cut in dices
1 Can of Sweet Corn Cream
1 packet of Minced Chicken
2 small packets
 of Chicken Broth

Mix the minced meat with a pinch of pepper, salt and 1/2 tablespoon of cornflour. After mixing the mixture, I rolled them into little meatballs.

Leaving the meatballs aside for awhile, pour the 2 packets of chicken broth and the sweet corn cream into the pot and bring to boil. Whisked the egg and poured into the soup slowly...  finally throw the tofu dices into the soup during the last 5 mins.

Da...da...da...da....da...da....

Now, we can get ready for the next dish, the egg rolls....it is a pretty easy dish, it's just that you need to make sure the omelette was "well rolled". =)))

Ingredients : Korean Egg Rolls

3 eggs
1/2 of the Onion
A pinch of salt

Chopped the 1/2 onion into little dices and whisked the eggs together. Poured some oil into the pan and spread the egg, wait for 1 min.

Using the spatula, flipped one side of the omelette and slowly rolled it to the right side.  Make sure the oil was well spread so that the omelette won't stick to the pan or burned.

Chop chop chop evenly and this should be what you have.

This is Home... Truly ~~   The song sung by Kit Chen had been surrounding in my head for these past few days. Part of the reason was because the radio stations, had been playing National Day songs  all day long. Hahaha..

I don't mind listening to those songs except maybe the more recent ones which are certainly not my cup of tea, well it may be good to include some "young" elements into the music, but the lyrics are kinda of meaningless~~

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GfChCnvRhg

Anyway, enough of what I thought of the National Day's songs, my real intention is to show some of the best I have got from the NDP preview I have watched with Boo last Saturday.

It was very nice of Boo to specially ballot in order to get those tickets specially for me as I had mentioned to him before I had never watched the NDP and would very much like to watch it. He has always been a sweetie!

Anyway, to get things started, we proceeded to the blue sector indicated on the tickets and got ourselves the goodies pack. Woah.. I was amazed with the many foods and drinks inside which are much better than what we got in big Marathons like Standard Charted etc. There were a lot of people wearing red so Boo and I were the few minorities wearing pink! So both of us decided to wear the little red cap in the fun pack to blend into the crowd. =))

The first program to kick start the National celebration was the air borne performance presented by the Red Lions. It was a pleasure to see a first female parachutist which I felt utterly proud of her.

Coming up next was the showcase of our land, sea and air military strength and was presented by showing us how our equipment will contributed when facing emergency situations.

For example,in case of terrorism, we are well protected and covered with the well equipped police forces, fire fighters , ambulances and..... even tanks...

There was even a small explosion scene at the river to start off for our ships and rode across the platform.

Last but not least, loud noise were heard above the sky where planes flew over our head in different formations and the helicopters flying past, with the Singapore flag flying over the MBS building... Nice ah~

By then, the sky was darker and spotlights at the stage began to slowly lit up with different platoons from selected schools' uniform groups marching in, the armed forces and some local big companies. Marching commends were made and the cannons sounded.  Stimulated MPs began to come in and finally our stimulated Prime Minister. Ahahaha..  The stimulated personnel were very professional, young and... handsome. ahahahaha..

In cooperate with this year's theme, ONE SINGAPORE, there were programs like cycling stunts on stage, persuading dreams was never a dream at all and appearances from our sports' representatives!!

Even the Merlion was made to swim across the Singapore River to the floating platform! And only till then did I know Merlion cannot swim!! wahaha.  A talking Merlion was quite creepy though..

Towards the end of the NDP, we had all the Singapore sports' representatives demonstrating their abilities and I was even surprised that horse polo team were there too, riding on the real horses on the floating platform!!

The most capturing moment arrived with the first fireworks shot up to the sky and more fireworks, green, red , golden colors just filled up the sky....

There were too many fireworks shots I took and of which, these four were the best I have chosen. Well, Boo and I did not stay till the end to take the National Pledge =((  as we want to beat the crowd to get out of the place ~

I still love you, Singapore, deep down in my heart... Happy 48th Birthday!
Day 3 - 30th Jul 13

Woooo... it was finally the last day of my short getaway and there gone the time I could just spend my money like water without much thought.. !!!

Anyway, my style for the 3rd  day in Bangkok, a bright yellow top with a pair of embroidery flower shorts.

I knew it sounded boring butl we went to Platinum Mall again for a super last min shopping and I bought a pair of fake Melissa shoes plus a Korean Inspired dress filled with metallic stars. I just love the details of this dress and best of all, made me looked very slim! hahaha. For your information, it was by far the most expensive dress which costed me SGD 80!!

A small little open secret, I indulged in the Mac Donald's sweet corn pie again.. for the past three days... **drooling*** I will just miss it sooo sooo sooo much !

We went on to Central World again and I bought two work dresses from Forever 21, a long sweater  and got my very first pair of Melissa shoes!!!! The real thing! You couldn't imagine how excited I was!!  ** Shine bright like a diamond!*** Pinky Pink !

After all the shopping and walking for the morning, we were so very hungry for carbos and decided to stop by for the must-go pizza place in Bangkok! Presenting the Pizza Company!!

My main course was the clam tomato sauce pasta which I found it tasted a bit salty and normal. I guessed spaghetti wasn't the pizza place's forte (Obviously!). However, I did try out my brother's cheese baked spinach and it tasted heavenly good, not to mention the Hawaii pizza.... ahhhh... so so so good.

With the lunch, it ended the short but fun getaway with my family.

I actually hope we would have more of such getaways to update one another's life even though we live under one roof! Sad to say, but the fast pace lifestyle and advanced technologies we have in Singapore had made us talked less with one another...
